The Ekotek/FrontierGadget, Inc. Warranty Terms and Conditions

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET INC. provides:

  1. a FOURTEEN(14)-DAY REPLACEMENT WINDOW for ALL PRODUCTS BY DEFAULT,
  2. a ONE(1)-YEAR REPAIR WINDOW EXCLUSIVELY FOR REPAIRABLE PRODUCTS, and
  3. a ONE(1)-YEAR REPLACEMENT WINDOW EXCLUSIVELY FOR NON-REPAIRABLE PRODUCTS

(collectively referred to as "replacement/repair periods" and as "Ekowarranty" in official marketing assets) under the following limited warranty. This limited warranty effects to the beared of the purchase receipt (P.R.) from the transaction through which the warranted product was purchased

Please note that any warranty services must be accompanied by the purchase receipt (P.R.) from the transaction through which the warranted product was purchased. The purchase receipt (P.R.) serves as your proof of purchase and must be retained. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will offer no warranty service without it.

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. warrants all ekotek products and its parts against defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the original purchase date. During this period, EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will repair/replace defective ekotek devices with new or reconditioned parts at EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC.’s option, without charge to you.

Shipping fees incurred from repairs/replacements forunder-warranty service in the repair and replacement windows counting from the date of original purchase will be paid by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC.. All shipping fees both to and from EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. following the repair/replacement periods must be paid by the customer. All repairs, both during and following the repair/replacement periods, must be affected via the Procedures for Obtaining warranty Service described below.

All original parts (parts installed by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. at the original build) replaced by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. or its Authorized Service Center/Service Outlets, become the property of EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. Any after-market additions or modifications will not be warranted. The owner of the said item is responsible for the payment, at current rates, for any service or repair outside the scope of this limited warranty.

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. makes no other warranty, either express or implied, includingbut not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to this gadget/accessory other than as set forth below. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer’s product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description.

Except as provided below, EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result fromuse or inability to use the ekotek devices. Under no circumstances shall EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of the gadget/accessory.

The warranty and remedies set forth below are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.

Warranty Conditions

The above Limited warranty is subject to the following conditions:

  1. This warranty extends only to products distributed and/or sold by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. It is effective only if the products are purchased and operated in the The Republic of The Philippines and authorized outlets in other states.
  2. This warranty covers only normal use of all ekotek products. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from (i) misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation; (ii) disasters such as fire, flood, lightning or improper electric current; or (iii) service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. representative; (iv) damages incurred through irresponsible use, including those resulting from viruses or spyware, over clocking, rooting, or other non-recommended practices.
  3. You must retain your purchase receipt (P.R.) or other proof of purchase to receive warranty service.
  4. No warranty extension will be granted to the purchaser.
  5. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. and its Authorized Service Center/Service Outlets accepts no responsibility for any software programs, data or information stored on any media or any parts of any products returned for repair to EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC.
  6. All pre-installed software programs are licensed to customers under non-EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. software vendor’s term and conditions provided with the package.
  7. This warranty does not cover any third party software or virus related problems.
  8. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. makes no warranty either expressed or implied regarding third-party (non-EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC.) software and hardware.

Procedures for Obtaining Warranty Service Repairing/Replacement Policy

The customer must provide proof of purchase. Services are rendered by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. only. Any shipping and labor cost after the repair/replacement period is the customers’ responsibility.

No package will be accepted without a purchase receipt (P.R.). Purchase receipts (P.R.) are only valid for one year from the date of issue.

All defective gadgets/accessories under warranty are subject for replacement by default within 14 days from the date of original purchase.

Repairable defective gadgets/accessories under warranty following the 14-day replacement period are eligible for repair within one year from the date of purchase.

Non-repairable defective gadgets/accessories under warranty following the 14-day replacement period are eligible for replacement within one year from the date of purchase.

  2. If the gadget/accessory must be repaired, follow the instructions given by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. technical support staff to ship your gadget/accessory. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will not accept any shipments without a purchase receipt (P.R.).
  3. Upon receiving the gadget/accessory, EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will repair or replace your gadget/accessory (at EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC.’s discretion) and will ship it back to you within 2 weeks (dependent on parts availability) via courier.
  4. For some instances, the Ekotek device is subject to outlet-based pick-up:
    1. Please find your purchase receipt (P.R.) from the transaction through which the warranted product was originally purchased) and talk to EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. Ekospecialist where you bought your gadget/accessory.
    2. If the gadget/accessory must be repaired, follow the instructions given by EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. Ekospecialist. The EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will not accept any shipments without a purchase receipt (P.R.).The Ekospecialist will also ask some personal information for the pick-up and pull-out of product. Lastly, the Ekospecialist is required to file a report for the device before the pick-up and pull-out of product.
    3. Upon receiving the gadget/accessory, EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will repair or replace your gadget/accessory (at EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC.’s discretion) within 7 working days.
    4. The ekogadget will be back to you within 2 weeks (dependent on parts availability) via courier.

After One-Year warranty – Post warranty Repair

For post warranty repair, the procedure is the same as outlined above for RMA and shipping. However, you are responsible for shipping charges both ways, current labor and the current price ofpart(s) used inrepair.

Technical Support and Customer Service

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. provides technical support and customer service from levels one to three via telecommunications through e-mail, social media, landline and cellular networks and is overseen in-hose by the support and customer relations division of its Engineering and Marketing Departments.

Warranty Exclusions

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. does not offer technical support for any software including installed OS or other programs. Technical support should be pursued through channels offered by the software’s individual tech support. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. accepts no liability for problems caused by after-market software or hardware modifications or additions.

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. is not responsible for giving any technical support concerning the installation or integration of any software or component the customer did not pay EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. to install. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. is not responsible for loss of data or time, even with hardware failure. Customers are responsible for backing up any data for their own protection. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. is not responsible for any loss of work (“down time”) caused by a product requiring service. This warranty is null and void if the defect or malfunction was due to damage resulting fromoperation not within manufacturer specifications. It will also be null and void if there are indications of misuse and/or abuse. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. has the option of voiding the warranty if anyone other than an EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. technician attempts to service the product.

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will not warrant any problems arising from an act of God (lighting, flooding, tornado, etc.), electrical spikes or surges, or problems arising out of hardware, software, or additional devices added to complement any system/component bought at EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC..Under no circumstances will EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. be responsible for any refund or remuneration exceeding the original purchase price of the product less any shipping fees. EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. will not be held responsible for typographical errors on sales receipts, repair tickets, or on our website.

EKOTEK/FRONTIERGADGET, INC. makes every effort to make sure all information on our website is correct.

Out-Of-Warranty Service

All Ekotek Devices who already exceeded the ONE (1) YEAR initial warranty coverage and for Ekotek Products whose warranty are voided due to damages under the circumstances or conditions listed in the Warranty Exemptions will be eligible for OUT-OF-WARRANTY SERVICES.

Charges for Out-of-Warranty Services: Service Fee = Parts Price + Labor Fee ( Php 200)
